Community Development Manager

Alma Perez joined MHP in 2026, bringing more than 20 years of leadership experience in affordable housing, community development, grants management, and public-sector program administration. Prior to joining MHP, she served in leadership roles with Bexar County and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), where she oversaw complex housing and community development portfolios, provided technical assistance, and partnered with local governments, housing providers, nonprofits, and community stakeholders to advance housing and community development initiatives. She brings extensive expertise in affordable housing finance, compliance, capacity building, and the management of federal, state, and local funding programs. Outside of work, Alma enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and exploring new places and cultures.
