Prairie View Townhomes

Prairie View Townhomes is a proposed 24-unit affordable rental housing development in Mahnomen, Minnesota, designed to address the community’s growing need for safe and stable housing. Construction is anticipated to begin Fall of 2026, with completion expected by late summer to early fall 2027. The site was acquired from the City of Mahnomen and the Mahnomen Economic Development Authority and is conveniently located near public transit, the White Earth Tribal and Community College, and major employers, including the Shooting Star Casino, Hotel, and Event Center.
The development will offer rents affordable at 50% rent limits, with household incomes not exceeding 60% of the Minnesota Area Median Income (AMI). Four units will be designated for High Priority Homeless households; six units will be reserved for individuals or families that include a person with disabilities. Mahube-OTWA will provide housing services and supportive programming.
Prairie View Townhomes will include a playground, preserved green space, and dedicated office space for property management and service providers. Overall, the project aims to deliver high-quality, service-enriched housing that supports vulnerable populations while contributing positively to the long-term vitality and stability of the Mahnomen community.
