Brief Description: Prairie Pointe will be a three-story building with 42 apartment homes available for families at/below 50% area median income, including 28 affordable at/below 30% of area median income. It will include a large community room, program and office spaces, and an outdoor playground area for children. Beacon chose Volunteers of America-MN, a 100+year-old nonprofit social service provider, based on their strong track record over it, will offer supportive services. VOA-MN uses a wraparound model, supporting families’ growth in employment and income support, robust youth-centered educational and enrichment activities, and access to complementary services, including improved access to and supports to healthcare and community support.
