Central MN Habitat for Humanity (CMHFH) is excited to serve an entirely new community with its school build partnership program with Elk River High School. In this partnership, the students of Elk River will have the opportunity to build an entire home, gaining real world experience. Similar programs in St Cloud and Sartell have shown amazing community demand, student growth, and experiences. Currently, after graduation, over 50% of the students go into the trades or post-secondary education in the trades, an industry desperate for youth. When the home is complete, CMHFH will remove the home from the high school and place it on a foundation. The home will then be sold to a hard-working, deserving family in the 35%-80% average median income range.
