Deputy Director, Community Development
Barbara Dolan joined MHP in 2015. She provides direct technical assistance to beneficiaries in rural communities and Native nations across the U.S. and has extensive experience in affordable housing development, rehab, and property transfer, utilizing federal, state, local, nonprofit, and private funding and financing, assisting with dozens of project deals involving subsidized and affordable housing units. She has 23 years of housing industry experience, including high-level project technical coordination, construction management, grant writing, financial management, training/event management, and compliance monitoring for LIHTC and FDIC projects. Before joining MHP, she worked in rural Community Action Agencies managing single-family development and rehab, homeownership loan programs, and acted as a development consultant for rural communities receiving NSP funds. She holds a bachelor’s from Minot State, a Housing Development Finance Professional certification from the National Development Council (NDC) and is registered with the NMLS. When not working, Barbara enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, gardening and scouring thrift stores for treasures!
