For decades, MHP has developed innovative ways to provide technical assistance to rural communities and tribes across the United States. Under COVID-19, we will continue to think and work innovatively as we conduct all technical assistance under our rural capacity building programming virtually. These programs include HUD Rural Capacity Building (RCB), MHP Housing Institutes (HI), Native Community Development Institutes (NCDI), and USDA 515 programs.
Our first priority is for the health and safety of our staff and their loved ones, and the health and safety of MHP’s partners and their families. Once we can be confident that travel and in-person meetings won’t present a health risk to anyone involved in our work, we will resume travel to beneficiary communities and in-person meetings. In addition, Office of Policy Development and Coordination at HUD "strongly encourages grantees to continue offering technical assistance (TA) remotely and by virtual means as much as possible.”
Our work is rooted in developing deep relationships with our partners. Though we can’t meet face to face just now, we’re committed to delivering quality and outcome-driven technical assistance, and engaging with each community to develop those relationships.
