This survey, conducted once every three years, looks at causes, effects, and circumstances surrounding homelessness in Minnesota. This research tracks the numbers and characteristics of people experiencing homelessness statewide. The latest survey was conducted in October 2009.

Minnesota’s Ending Long-term Homelessness Business Plan
The 2003 legislature under Gov. Pawlenty established a plan to: 1) reduce long-term homelessness; 2) reduce the inappropriate use of crisis services; and 3) improve the outcomes for the families and individuals. The plan is designed to increase the availability of supportive housing by addressing barriers to the provision of coordinated services and facilitating coordination between funders, service providers, and housing developers. Next Decade of Housing in Minnesota Report
This seminal report was produced by BBC Research and Consulting for Minnesota Housing Finance Agency, Greater Minnesota Housing Fund, and the Family Housing Fund and demonstrates projected increases in the need for affordable housing in Minnesota. 2003.
