Jeremy directs MHP's policy work and federal, state, and regional legislative strategy. For the last decade, Jeremy has been leading campaigns on behalf of better government, workers' and human rights and the abolition of capital punishment. Before coming to MHP, he was the Executive Director of Common Cause Minnesota, a good government watchdog group. At Common Cause Minnesota Jeremy led efforts to reform Minnesota's redistricting process and to pass legislation to make government more transparent. Prior to that, Jeremy served for three years as the Executive Director of the Illinois Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty. In that role, he created and led a two-year strategy successfully passing legislation that abolished the death penalty in Illinois in 2011. Jeremy is a graduate of the University of the District of Columbia Law School and is a former member of the national board of directors for Amnesty International.
