Looking for Housing

Minnesota Housing Partnership does not own or manage any housing.

The only direct service we provide to tenants or homeowners is through the Crisis Housing program. Please see the links below for housing resources.

 

General Resources

Housing Benefits 101 (a service provided by Minnesota Department of Human Services) - Housing information including resources specifically for older adults, people with disabilities, and the homeless.

At Home in Lincoln County - online housing resource directory for renters and homeowners in Lincoln County, Minnesota

Homeownership Resources

HUD in Minnesota - information about Section 3, homeownership, rental help, avoiding foreclosure. Also has homeless resources and housing counselors. 

Minnesota Attorney General's Office - The Homebuyer's Handbook includes information about and tips for buying a home

Minnesota Homeownership Center - state's leading non-profit provider of information and resources aimed at helping Minnesotans begin and maintain homeownership

Minnesota Housing Finance Agency - a state agency that provides financial and customer assistance for decent, safe, and affordable housing.

Community Action Agencies (CAPs) - provide energy assistance, weatherization, emergency housing, and financial assistance and other programs

United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development (USDA RD) - programs and services available to homeowners in rural communities

Community Agency Agencies (CAPs)

County assistance - You may apply for short-term emergency rental assistance through your county.

Hearth Connection - Offering services, affordable housing, and case workers to help people access housing. -651.645.0676 

Home Line - Tenants may speak with a tenant advocate who will provide free advice regarding Minnesota landlord/tenant law - 612.728.5757 or 866.866.3546

HousingLink - Statewide list of affordable rental vacancies and information about Section 8 programs

HousingLink hList - Listing of housing authority waiting lists for Section 8 Vouchers and Public Housing in the Twin Cities

Lutheran Social Service (LSS) - LSS operates a Housing Resource at 612.879.5266. LSS is also a provider of transitional, supportive, and permanent scattered-site housing, but requires referrals.
